Overview

This series of calls will allow you to understand how to make payments either domestically using the payment network (channel) membership or cross border with the banks correspondent.  The calls are designed to work in conjunction with call 1.01 which you should use to validate the bank details.

These calls are  designed  to:

  1. Retrieve all the correspondents for a specified institution
  2. Retrieve all the payment network (channel) details for example Fedwire, FedACH, BACS
  3. Give you any intermediaries

The calls detailed are below. We recommend that you use calls:

Call 2.1 for payment network details

This call give you access to membership and information on domestic and international payment networks such as for the UK Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, for Europe Target 2 and for the USA Fedwire and FedACH.

Call 2.2 for correspondents details

This will give the the details on the available correspondents for the currency you have entered, it will also give details on the other currencies that we hold correspondents for for this bank and branch.

Call 2.3 if you require both sender and receiver details.

Call 2.3 gives you correspondent details for the sender and the receiver branch and bank.  This call will list all the available correspondent for the sender and receiver details that you have entered.  If you want a “best route” to be chosen then please look at call 3.0 which can be found here
